Collection Procedure Auto-assignment to Customer Records

Collection Procedures are automatically assigned to Customer records; each Collection Procedure identifies a saved search that provides the selection logic for which Customers should be assigned to it.

An automated process checks every hour for Customer records that do not have an assigned Collection Procedure, each Collection Procedure is checked in sequence to determine if there are unassigned Customer records that need the given Collection Procedure assigned to it.

Important: In the creation of Collection Procedures and their associated Assignment Logic Searches care should be taken to ensure that all Customers will be included within the criteria of a Collection Procedure.

When allocating Collection Procedures to Customers each Collection Procedure is evaluated in turn per the Sequence field, in ascending order.

Once a Collection Procedure is allocated to a Customer it is excluded from subsequent Collection Procedure evaluation.

It is recommended that a “catch all” Collection Procedure and Assignment Logic Search is created.

Collection Procedure Auto-assignment Logic

Note: It is not necessary for the saved search to remove Customer records that already have a Collection Procedure allocated, the process automatically adds these criteria.
