New Features

Promise to Pay Pauses Collections Procedures

Promise to Pay (PtP) records now interact with, and pause, Collection Procedures:

  • When a Promise to Pay is created, the Collection procedure is paused whilst we wait for payment to arrive.

  • A new Action Task type can be configured; once configured, Promise to Pay records create a manual task that appears in the Task Workbench. At the point the Promise to Pay is created, the manual task is inserted as the next step of the Collection Procedure associated with the invoices the PtP relates to. This delays any automated steps from occurring, until the Promised Date passes.

  • In the event the payment arrives from the customer the collection procedure is satisfied and all associated processes and Tasks on the Task Workbench disappear.

  • Should the payment not arrive, the user is prompted with the new Manual Task:

    • In the event automated bank transactions and cash applications are not configured, the Task should prompt the user to check the bank statement.

    • The user may mark process the Payment having confirmed it’s on the bank statement; or, mark the Task as “Not Satisfied”, allowing the Collection Procedure to continue, and recording a unkept promise.

To enable this new feature, Promise to Pay Action Types are configure on Collection Procedure records:

Promise to Pay Resolves Disputes

When processing a Promise to Pay the user is prompted with any Disputes associated with the invoices that are associated. Owing to remittance being provided, by default the Disputes are marked as resolved; the user may override this and retain the Dispute if the PtP relates to part of the invoice(s) that are not in dispute.
